WHAT IS REIKI?
"Reiki" comes from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning "universal," and "Ki," meaning "life force energy." Reiki is a Japanese healing modality that involves channeling energy through the practitioner's hands to promote physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Originating from Mikao Usui in the early 20th century, Reiki is based on the idea of balancing the body's energy to enhance relaxation, reduce stress, and support healing. Benefits include deep relaxation, reducing pain, and encouraging emotional clarity.

For some of you, Reiki might already feel familiar, while for others it could seem new.
We are often taught to focus on everything outside of ourselves, leaving us feeling disconnected or constantly putting our own needs aside.
Reiki has been my way of tuning back in, not just in a mindful sense, but through a deeply embodied practice. It’s transformed my life in countless ways, although it wasn’t handed to me; it’s been a journey of piecing what works together and finding a grounding practice along the way.
What I offer is simply an invitation to explore Reiki as a tool for deeper connection with self, to move from the mind back to the heart.
